The 17 teams in the Challenge X competition are ready to put their vehicles on the road. The teams took their modified Chevy Equinoxes for a ride from New York City to Washington D.C. and GMnext rode shotgun to learn more about the cars and their environmentally-friendly enhancements. Seventeen colleges compete in Challenge X: a mission to modify Chevy Equinoxes into eco-friendly, fuel efficient vehicles by using advanced propulsion technologies.
